Welcome to Winter Gardens Academy Nursery. We aim to provide the best possible start your child could have to their school life. Each child is seen as unique with individual talents that we endeavour to develop during their time at our Nursery. We place a strong emphasis on learning through purposeful play and interacting with others in order to develop social skills. The children encounter a team of Nursery staff, all of whom work closely with them to support and extend their learning. We promote turn taking, sharing, being kind to each other and aim to develop skills that encourage care, pride and respect towards themselves and others. Our outside learning provision is an extension of the provision we provide to the children indoors. The children in our Nursery are able to use the Reception outdoor area; the outside provision we offer allows them to learn through play with the children in our Reception class. This allows all children, who attend our nursery, to transition smoothly into school when starting in September.
We also kindly ask families for an optional donation of £15 per term, which goes towards providing exciting activities like cooking sessions, nutritious snacks and sensory play, which are a big part of the children’s development and discovery.
